We have made a lot of progress with unpacking the last couple of days, which definitely helps when you are trying to get settled. We have bunk beds, and mattresses, emptied boxes, jury-rigged “dressers” and a Swiffer WetJet. It was when I was taking the WJ out of the package, that I was attacked my the killer dragonfly. I posted a picture of it on facebook earlier, but here is what happened.
The Dragonfly
The night air was unusually cool compared to earlier in the week. Jason had gone out earlier in the evening to pick up some odds and ends. With the quick snack he grabbed on the way home, he settled in to the chair at the table to eat. He and his roommate had just purchased a Swiffer WetJet, which they had planned on getting for some time to clean the hardwood floors of their apartment.
Just a few hours earlier on that Saturday morning, Jason had purchased some AA batteries at work to be able to use the newly acquired device. After eating, Jason pulled out the box to begin assembly so the floors could be cleaned, he heard a clicking behind him, but it seemed like nothing was there.
Then came the buzzing sound, past his head and back away. Jason turned to see the assassin flying around the room, hitting the light. The giant dragonfly had gotten in the window with the fresh air and was beginning his kamikaze attacks on Jason in the midst of his efforts to make the apartment just a little more clean.
Jason grabbed the broom from the closet to defend himself from the demon-spawn intent on killing him. A solid hit, by the man who probably could have made a name for himself in professional baseball, brought the deadly warrior crashing to the ground. Pinning his opponent with the broom, Jason was able to capture the would-be-dealer-of-death in a tupperware container.

Some would think that swinging a broom like a cotton-headed-ninny-muggins would make him a hero. But Jason just sees the capture of this villainous creature as being “all in a days work.” Still, many will see him as a hero, and I the Narrator, will not fault anyone for that conclusion.
The End
This one truly made me laugh! Thanks for the smile! =)
